In addition to planning permission (and Listed Building consents) Neil has an interest in the way our industrial past shapes today's places.

We have worked on a number of projects big and small where heritage has been centre of the case.

2019 Succcessfully persuaded Dundee City Council to support change of Blackness Industrial Area, Dundee to allow more flexible range of uses in its LDP. We are also working with other heritage right on the edge of the University Campuses and walking distance of the Waterfront development.

2023 we obtained planning permission to restore a Building at Risk on the outskirts of St Andrews (Craigtoun House) - including "enabling development" of new homes in the grounds. Additionally other St Andrews projects at The Scores, North and South Street all with complex heritage challenges.

2024 Falkland Palace and Grounds, for National Trust for Scotland.
